With the lack of milled parts kits in mind, we came up with a receiver to take your stamped parts kit to the next level. Our 80% receivers are made from 4140 steel then heat treated to 42HRC. Hungarian AMMS 63D parts kits are ideal for these receivers, but most all 1mm stamped 7.62 parts kits (except Chinese) will work as far as barrel population, bolt and carrier. The underfolding holes in the receiver are limited to Hungarian Underfolder or Milled Bulgarian Underfolder stocks. If building from a milled parts kit you will need to open up the gap between the ears on top of the front trunnion 0.085 of an inch for the rear sight block to fit.
Our receivers come with new heat treated cover plates for the hole in the back of the receiver and under the front trunnion. They also come with an 1/8" x 1/4" alloy dowel pin for the selector stop.
We have now been cleared to mill the trigger hole out and cut the ejector rail. All that needs done to these is: installing the bullet guide and rivet, drilling the fire control group out, and riveting in the trigger guard. Some minor file and fitment work may also be required.
The fire control group can easily be done using our Milled Reciever Drilling fixture and the trigger guard can be riveted in with ease using our Trigger Guard Riveting jig.
BE SURE TO ORDER THE AK-BUILDER "MILLED RECEIVER DRILLING FIXTURE" FOR THE CORRECT HOLE PLACEMENT.
These do NOT come with a bullet guide OR rivet.
This item is made in the United States and counts as a 922r compliant part.
